Organization
The Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut (ETPCEC) is a professional organization for accountants, attorneys, bank trust officers, charitable and educational organizations, financial planners, life and health insurance agents and advisors, probate judges and stock brokers.
Every two years, a Membership Directory Brochure is developed and published for members of the council. Membership contact information, services and historical information is included in the directory. The Council also maintains its own web site providing a membership list as well as an event calendar and links to member email and web site addresses.
Those interested in applying for membership should contact the Council's President ( contact info) for an application and further information about the Council. A membership application form is also available on this web site. It can be printed out, completed and mailed to the ETPCEC address above along with a check for the annual membership fee of $135 - Application Form.
Mission
- Educate its members.
- Inform the community through an out-reach program on recent changes in estate planning and estate tax law.
Activities
- Making available to members quarterly educational meetings with a guest speaker who is an expert in topics of general interest to its members including: tax issues, legal issues and estate planning.
- Periodic seminars for local senior citizen groups to address their concerns and interests.
- Members volunteering to discuss various topics with civic or charitable organizations.
